Cabernet is king in California and our 2004 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon has it all. From delicate aromas of ripe fruit sweetness, firm tannins and deep, dark layers of chocolate and decadence. Also seductive and perfumey aromas of fresh boysenberries, with just a slightest hint of leather and wintergreen define the bouquet. This wine consists of 80% Cabernet Sauvigon and 20% Merlot. On the palate, bold flavors of black cherry lead, followed by layers of fleshly plum, then baker's chocolate. The finish really puts an exclamation point on this wine, showing firm tannins that suggest cellarability, olive tapenade and more bittersweet chocolate. It also won 9 wine competition medals during 2008, including 3 gold medals.

Our Cabernet pairs nicely with grilled meats - particularly filet mignon or rib eye steaks - or aged artisan cheeses, olive tapenade and bittersweet chocolate.
